Who we are

DFC is a friendly, growing church made up of people from all backgrounds, all ages, all experiences of church and all walks of life. Our vision is to be a church known for our love for God, our love for one another and our love for our community.

We enjoy lively worship and Bible-based life-relevant teaching. DFC also has an energetic youth programme for ages 4 - 18 and a crèche for under 4s.

During the week, we have a network of small groups that help people connect with others in their local community.

Whether you’re exploring faith for the first time or already miles into the journey, you should expect to receive a warm welcome and an encouraging time with us.

We meet at 9.40am for coffee and start our meeting at 10am at The Thomas Hardye School, Queens Avenue, Dorchester. We finish around 11.30am, then there is plenty of time to meet new people and get connected with what's going on.

Our Live Wires (babies and preschool) and Bright Sparks (Reception to Year 4) groups run from 10.30am and our youth activities; Fusion (Years 5-9) and Ignite (Years 10-13) run from 11am.

We know that it's not easy visiting a new church for the first time. You may feel nervous or unsure of what will happen, so we’ve tried to design our Sunday services to make them accessible, whatever your background but especially to those who have never been to church before.

You are welcome to contact the church to say you're coming or simply turn up on Sundays.

Leader Bio:
In September 2018, Ben and Louise Martin moved to Dorchester to take up leadership of DFC. Before that they had led Billingshurst Family Church in West Sussex for over 12 years.

Originally trained in Biomedical Sciences, Ben left the pharmaceutical industry in 2002 to lead the youth team in his home Newfrontiers church in East Grinstead. After which they were invited to Billingshurst to lead the church which they did until they felt God leading them to a new challenge.

Louise is a Primary school teacher and they have 3 young children.
