Who we are
WE BELIEVE THAT.....
. . . God, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever, is One and has made himself known to us as our Creator (Father), Savior (Son), and Comforter/Guide (Holy Spirit).
. . . the Holy Bible was written by divinely inspired men and is God's only written revelation of Himself to man. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its content.
. . . salvation is a gift from God and is given freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. This salvation cannot be earned but is received and secured when a person takes intentional action to ask Christ into his/her life. There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord.
. . . baptism is the first step of obedience by a new believer. The full immersion in water symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ that makes possible our faith and new life in Him.
. . . participation in the ordinance of the Lord's Supper recognizes and observes Christ's sacrifice on the cross. This Holy Communion experience symbolizes Jesus' death for our sin, celebrates His power over death, and proclaims that He will come again.
. . . every Christian has direct access in prayer to God through the Lord Jesus Christ, and is accountable directly to God.
. . . God has ordained the family as the foundational institution of human society. Marriage is the uniting of a man and a woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime. The husband and wife are of equal worth before God, both being created in God's image. Children, from the moment of conception, are a blessing and heritage from the Lord.
