Foxhill Evangelical Church History
The church was established in 1957 as a church plant from Clumber Hall (the Assemblies of Christian Brethren), located in the city centre of Nottingham, to better reach the local communities around Thorneywood and Mapperley. Foxhill Gospel Hall was born
The location chosen was the old wooden church hall building of the previously demolished Church of St Michael's and all Angels. The building had been used in the interim as a workshop by a local business
By 1976, the old wooden structure was well past its use-by date, was demolished and replaced by the current brick building. The church name was changed at this point to Foxhill Evangelical Church to reflect the more contemporary approach.
A number of modifications and extensions have since been made to accommodate changing needs over the years, the latest being in 2006 where an extension now provides the facilities expected under the Discrimination and Disabilities Act
