Vision & Mission

Micah 6:8

A Passion for God - We want our passion for God to come out of a deep, loving relationship – an intentional walk “with” Him that is vibrant, passionate, intimate, joyful – a journey with Him that is characterized by vitality, not complacency; with power, not timidity. (Matthew 22:37-38)

A Heart for People - We want our “heart for people” to come out of our “passion for God”. We want our life “for” God (what we do for Him) to come out of our walk “with” Him (who we are in Him). Out of a deep rooted love for Him and an open heart toward others, we want to actively serve with joy, engaging our church family, our community and our world with the servant heart of Christ himself. (Matthew 22:39)

At every age, we will express a passion for God and a heart for people by being:

Transformed in Christ ……… (Discipleship component) – We commit to pursuing an intentional, growing relationship with Christ, one leading to transformation in both character and conduct. (II Corinthians 5:17)

Empowered by Christ ……… (Equipping component) – God-reliant and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit to being equipped, so that we might serve others with our Spiritual Giftedness, Skills, Personality, Passions, and Resources. (II Timothy 1:7; Hebrews 13:20-21)

Missional like Christ ………… (Evangelism component) – We commit to joining with God in bringing Jesus and His Good News into the local & global community. (Matthew 28:18-20

Unleashed for Christ……….. (Action component) We commit to seeing ourselves as both a Minister (serving, encouraging and discipling one another within the church family) and a Missionary (living a missional life in the community where we live, work & play). (Eph. 4:15)

Pastor Wayne Melnechuk is a M.Div. graduate from Tyndale and has been pastoring for over 15 Years. Wayne has a heart for Discipleship and is a Certified Spiritual Director. He has a passion for preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and serving in God’s church. Wayne is an avid musician and plays guitar, bass, and drums in the Worship Team. Wayne has been married to Jennifer for 23 years and has 3 lovely daughters, Julia, Saphara, and Charlotte. Wayne’s family loves cottaging, boating and going on mission trips together.

Important Parking Request
We want to be great neighbours so each week please remember not to park at the Plaza beside us . It is only for their customers.
There is extra parking across the street at Woodhall. We are very thankful for this extra space to park but please park in the middle section so they have access to their front doors.
Additional Parking when needed is also available at Notre Dame school.

Kids Zone

Helping children grow in faith

We invite you and your family to join us for Kids Zone Sundays at 11 am.

​Each week Pastor Mario puts together an amazing time of kid's worship songs, crafts, and bible lessons.

Youth Group

Fridays at 7 pm

Our desire is to provide a safe space, where they will be loved and accepted by their peers. A place where they can learn to develop a deep love and passion for God. A place where youth can let out energy, by playing some fun team building games with each other. A place where they have opportunities to serve others.

We desire to be a resource for parents, as we believe the church and parents can partner together to help mature the best generation the world has ever seen, and know this is only possible by working together.

Our church was founded in 1977 as an extension of First Baptist Church, Brampton and as a church plant of the Baptist Convention of Ontario & Quebec (B.C.O.Q.) and the Guelph Association of Baptist Churches. We are affiliated as a member church with Canadian Baptists of Ontario & Quebec (CBOQ) and are part of the Toronto Association. Together we seek to engage in vibrant worship, meaningful fellowship, growth through study, and expressing our gifts and talents through service and mission as a community of Christ followers.
