Who we are
Highlands Grace Reformed Church is a Bible church. We love God's Word. It is inspired, inerrant, infallible and providentially preserved. Through the public reading, preaching, teaching, study and singing of God's Word we express and grow strong in faith. God's glory is our delight. Our Triune God's revelation in creation and Scripture reveal his glory to us.
Highlands Grace Reformed Church is a praying church. We believe God's house is a house of prayer for all people. We commit ourselves to pray for one other, our friends and relatives, God's kingdom throughout the world, our community, state, nation and our leaders. Prayer is a vital part of who we are.
Highlands Grace Reformed Church is a place of Christian fellowship. We share our faith and seek to grow into a habitation of God.
We practice the ordinances of believer's baptism and the Lord's Supper together.

Leader Bio:
Ed Sager has been the pastor here at Highlands Grace Reformed since 1980. As a charter member he began ministry and developed into a minister of God's Word here. An ardent student of Scripture and avid reader he has proclaimed the precious truths of God's Word seeking to 'preach Christ and him crucified' in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Ed is married to Terrie since 1974. They have been members here since their salvation that year. Ed and Terrie are blessed with two grown sons, Eli and Roy, who are both married and have their own families.
Ed is bi-vocational and has also maintained a career as an appraiser with the county government.
I consider it a privilege to proclaim the glorious truth of the gospel to God's people. May we all grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ to the praise of the glory of his grace.
On behalf of Highlands Grace Reformed Church I extend a warm welcome to join us in worship.

Our children are given opportunity to study God's Word during adult prayer meeting. Qualified women faithfully teach our youth. Our desire is for children to know Jesus Christ personally as Lord and Savior, and to be established in the faith. Educating them in the fundamentals of the faith is one of our ministries.

Highlands Grace Reformed Church History
The early 1970's was a time of spiritual awakening. God stirred hearts with the earnest desire for authentic biblical reality as revealed in the New Testament. In the home of Mary Sager believers began to gather regularly for spiritual fellowship, worship, prayer and praise. Several young people were saved dramatically and joined this nucleus. In 1974 a pastor was recognized and God providentially led in giving us a solid gospel focus through the corporate study of the book of Romans.
It was during this time we became convinced of the doctrines of grace. These early discoveries established a lasting pattern of gospel focus, strong mission emphasis, prayer, spiritual fellowship and the importance of doing all things for the purpose of 'glorifying God and enjoying Him'. Our faith has been tested and tried. We discover that God exalts His strength in our weakness. He has been merciful and gracious to us in so many ways. His goodness and mercy follow us all our days. His promises are great and precious and all 'yea and amen' in Jesus Christ.
He faithfully leads us by his Holy Spirit into the truth and works in us to will and do of His good pleasure. We are thankful to be part of God's work and bless Him for His shepherding care and provision. One basic lesson of faith we began with is that without Jesus we can do nothing - John 15. We need Him always and forever. Jesus Christ is our 'all in all'.
