Highpoint Episcopal Community Church History

The Church of the Atonement/Highpoint Church began as a mission out of Holy Innocents Episcopal Church on January 7th, 1962. On December 13, 1963, eight acres were purchased along High Point Road in unincorporated Sandy Springs, where the Church stands today. Several wonderful priests led the faithful, loving congregation through the years. This holy place has been a joy and "a warm shelter in the storms of life" for so many. We leave it with sadness but also with spirits lifted by the gifts we have been given through our church and community. May we "go with the wind, and have the grace to sing our alleluias with joy and love, the holy fire and moments to crown again".
