Who we are
Our inclusive Holy Communion family is always excited to expand, engage, and welcome everyone!
Our vibrant Youth “Servant” Ministry assembles specialized food bags, delights everyone with their “random acts of kindness,” and inspires us with their youth services. Our Holy Communion “Community Choir” brings us joy; our “Blessing of the Animals” brings us love for God’s creatures and our commitment to their care; our “Pub Theology” brings us together to learn and connect.
While our building is beautiful and treasured, our greatest treasure lies outside its walls in our commitment to our community. Holy Communion, known for service and involvement, focused on addressing the needs of the most vulnerable in our community, primarily through our central outreach ministries, such as: Eileen’s Attic Thrift Shop, St. Christopher’s Highway Traveler’s Assistance, and the Suicide Prevention Crisis Line.

Holy Communion Episcopal Church History
The Church of the Holy Communion in Rock Springs began in 1887, with many Officers of the United States Army being Episcopalians. Rock Springs was known for mining and the railroad. With many workers injured while working for the railroad and in mines, it made the outreach ministry of the church very important. Around the year 1888, church services were held in a dance hall, above a saloon. Plans to complete a new stone church were held back due to the WW1, coal strikes and local economic depression. Eventually, today’s beautiful stone building was constructed.
