Who we are
About Laurentian Regional Ministry
As of November 30th, 2021, the Laurentian Regional Ministry no longer exists. Individual churches are still open.
Holy Trinity Church, built in 1859, is a gorgeous stone structure nestled on the shores of Lake Dawson. Standing at the entrance of the village of Lakefield, it serves a small rural community in the Lower Laurentians.
Rooted in Anglicanism, the bilingual liturgy and banjo-led gospel music create a warm, inclusive and uplifting sense of fellowship for both French and English worshipers. There is also an alternative service of quiet meditation on Sunday evenings, set to a background of classical music and soft candle light.
This much-loved church is well cared for and in good running order. This is thanks to its dedicated parishioners and the ongoing generous support of many donors whose connection to the church dates back several generations and across many miles.
