House of Prayer Assembly of God welcomes Christians and those who seek to connect to Christianity in the Salt Lake City area.
We aim to make contact with and encourage others to join us in our life-changing Christian journey.
We are a friendly Christian community where we welcome others to join us in our worship and service to God.
Our vision is to make an impact for God, here in Salt Lake City, Utah by helping people understand the enriching messages of eternal hope given to us by Jesus Christ through His words and deeds.

Born in the tiny village of El Rito, New Mexico, Rev. Hurtado turned to Christianity after his mother was miraculously healed. He felt the call to the ministry in 1958.
A good friend and pastor, George Gonzalez, pointed him toward an institute of Bible studies. In Utah, the Rev. Jose Martinez and his wife, Ruby, took the Hurtados under their wing and helped them get established. Today Ruby Martinez suffers from severe heart problems but remains a guiding light for others at "Temple House."
Slowly "Templo Casa" has set down roots and flourished. Today, just the sheer number of Hispanic Christians in Utah means resources are more available. Getting materials in Spanish is not a problem. Several local Christian bookstores offer Spanish language texts, and whatever the Hurtados can't find here can be easily ordered through a clearing house in Springfield, Mo.
