Who we are
We are an amalgamation of three parishes that operate under one office, which is located in Stettler, Alberta.
All three parishes: Christ-King, Stettler; Our Lady of Grace, Castor; and Immaculate Heart of Mary, Bashaw, are unique in themselves and are holy places of worship where God’s people come to receive the bread of life and worship as one holy and apostolic family.
Each parish has its own history that is unique to the other. Under the guidance of our Archbishop, we are ONE with the “Archdiocese of Edmonton” and the “Holy See of Rome.”

We have two Catholic Schools within our Regional boundaries - Christ-King Catholic School, Stettler and Theresetta Catholic School, Castor.
Parishioners are reminded that it is our right as Catholics to have Catholic Education and that it is actually an obligation on the part of parents to send their children to a Catholic school. This obligation is part of the promise they made at baptism and when they were married to do all that is possible to raise their children in the faith. The church’s code of canon law cannot be clearer when Canon 800§2 states, “Christ’s faithful are to promote catholic schools, doing everything possible to help in establishing and maintaining them.”
Pope John Paul II emphasized that parents are the first and the best catechists for their children. It is important that your child see that religious education is important to you. Growing in your faith is a life-long journey and not just something that we do when we are young. As much as possible, we would like to support parents in their own faith formation so that they will be confident catechists for their children. Children will have many questions regarding the sacraments and we want to allow parents the opportunity to be able to answer their questions.
