Who we are
Immanuel Baptist Church is a contemporary, family friendly, military friendly church in Newport News, Virginia.
We gather on Sunday mornings at 11:00AM, where the atmosphere is relaxed and the messages are relevant to your daily life. Through down to earth Bible study and powerful worship we are all about leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus, no matter where you are on the journey.
We have discipleship environments for people in every stage of life. Whether it’s children’s ministry, youth ministry, traditional Sunday school classes or small groups; we have a place for you!

Student Ministry
IBC Youth encompass students in grades 6th-12th. Our goal is to make the student ministry mission oriented while offering a safe and comfortable place to come and grow deeper in a relationship with Christ. We meet Wednesdays at 6:30, Sundays at 9:30AM. This energetic group is all about having a fun time, growing lasting relationships, and learning how to be a Christ follower in school and in the home. In the IBC Student Ministry you will experience Bible teaching, Christ loving, and an extreme amount of fun!

We partner with/support several local ministries: Chestnut Memorial Food Pantry, Thrive, Care Net, Peninsula Rescue Mission
Other activities & ministries
We have a Sunday School class for everyone from Babies to Senior Citizens. You can try out several classes to find one that fits you!!
Babies through children 5 years old enjoy a great time of Bible Stories and fun crafts. Kindergarteners through 5th Graders enjoy a children's program that is age appropriate. We are using Lifeway's Gospel Project. Our Adult program has several classes We meet at 9:30am on Sundays and would love for you to join us!!!

We have several small groups who meet on various days of the week. Grow in Christ and get to know other Christians by attending one of these classes.
