Leader Bio:
The Senior Leader of King's Church is Phil Shaw who became the Minister at King's in January 2014 after serving for over 11 years on the previous church leadership. Phil has two young children, Jacob and Lewis. Phil's desires to operate a church recognised for its positive influence in the city of Cambridge which includes a continuous demonstration of God's love and power beyond its four walls.
Phil also pastors the King's worship team that continually pursues a reputation for having both excellence and freedom. Phil's ministry often carries a distinctive prophetic edge, accompanied by a demonstration of God's healing power. He has a genuine desire to encourage all believers to seek after such gifts and recognise the value and importance they have in carrying out the work of God in all areas of church life today.

Driving Directions to King's Church
Travel/Directions Tips
Parking
Free Parking
If you are visting King's Church by car, you will need to find the nearest free car park to use during the service. Parking is never the easiest thing to do in a busy city but here are some options:
Early Birds!
For those who arrive early for the service, there is usually some car park space at the rear of the church premises. It can't be seen from the road, so take a drive around the back of the church down the passage to the right and you will discover a small parking area. However, you need to be fairly prompt to find a space available here! It is almost always very full.
Gwydir Street Car Park
Just around the corner from the church, off Mill Road, is Gwydir Street Car Park (CB1 2LW). This car park has space for up to fifty cars. It is 'Pay and Display' during the week but free to use on Sundays. Our friends at St Barnabas Church also use this car park so it will help you to be punctual to find a good place. This is a short stay car park.
Directions: Once parked, come on to Mill Road walking away from the bridge towards the town and turn left down Tenison Road. It is only a five minute walk from this car park to the door of King's Church so parking here is very convenient.
Queen Anne Car Park
At the end of Mill Road heading towards the town you have the Queen Anne Car Park if you turn left at the traffic lights onto Gonville Terrace you will see it just on your left.
This is a Longstay Car Park. For map
Sundays Only (When the Church Car Park is full)
On Sundays when the Church Car Park is full there is an overflow Car Park available to use on Station road to see map
Off Street Parking
The area around Tenison Road is residential permits only during the week but, once again, there is free parking on Sundays. If you can't find a place on Tenison Road, take a drive down one of the side streets. There is often a free space or two to be found if you look carefully!
By Bicycle - Being green and coming by bike? Great! There are bicycle racks at the rear of the venue.
By Train - Some of our congregation have used the rail link to come to the church as the building is situated no more than a ten minute walk from Cambridge Railway Station. If choosing this option, when arriving at the station, come out on to Station Road and turn right on to Tenison Road. King's Church is just a few minutes' walk away on the right.
