Who we are
At Lawrenceville First Baptist Church, we seek to blend the best of both the ancient and modern expressions of Christian worship. We sing hymns written hundreds of years ago, and we sing songs of praise written recently. The choir and orchestra is a part of our worship experience each week. The Word of God is central to our worship. Our pastor generally preaches through a portion of a Bible book. Each week we seek to understand and apply the truth contained in a particular passage of Scripture.

Pastor Brian was born and raised in Texas until he moved to
Georgia during his high school years. He sensed a called to
ministry following his time at Kennesaw State University
where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Business
Administration. Following a brief time owning his own
business, Brian began attending New Orleans Baptist
Theological Seminary and serving at Roswell Street
Baptist Church. He received his Master of Divinity with a
specialization in Christian Education. Brian and Kelli
married in 2014 and are proud parents to Ellis and Edie
Ann. In his spare time, he loves being outdoors with the
family camping, hiking, fishing and hunting.
“And we know that for those who love God all things work
together for good, for those who are called according to His
Purpose.” ~Romans 8:28

Lawrenceville First Baptist Church History
The Lawrenceville Baptist church was constituted May 2, 1849. In 1850, a building committee was appointed to look after the erection of a church building. In 1893, the building of a new church was considered. The present house of worship is the result, being completed in 1905. In February 2009 we broke ground on our renovation project which was completed in August 2010. This means our children and students will occupy their new ministry
spaces, and our choir members will rehearse in the new music suite. God has been so faithful!
