Who we are

At the heart of everything we do is a desire to be Christ centered. We are a diverse congregation, representing a variety of ages, cultural, and religious backgrounds. It is our hope to provide a place where you are impacted by a life changing experience with Jesus Christ through engaging powerful worship and strong teaching of biblical truth in relevant and practical ways. We pray that you feel loved.

What We Believe

Liberty Church exists to lead people to Jesus Christ and to make disciples, by reflecting His love, teaching His Word, and demonstrating His power.

Here at Liberty, we are a part of the fellowship of the Assemblies of God churches and we align with the sixteen tenets of faith established by the General Council of the Assemblies of God.

As the Lead Pastor of Liberty Church, I provide teaching, leadership, and guidance for the church as a whole. I have served full time in the ministry for nearly my whole career. I am compelled to live and lead a life of influence both within the church and within the community. For over twenty years, I have had the privilege of leading hundreds of individuals in non-profit and church organizations. I have served in two other churches, as an executive director for a network of 180 churches in Southern New England, and as CEO of The Q 99.7 radio station. I have also served on two college boards, as well as many committees and advisory teams.

My wife, Tina, and I have been married for over 26 years and have two grown children, Makenna and Tytus.

Liberty Church History

In 1997, the church formerly known as Mount Zion Assembly became Liberty Assembly with about a dozen people as their church body. Just two years later, 13 acres of land were purchased on Route 20 in Shrewsbury in order to have a more central location and build a 400-seat auditorium. The facility was completed in December 2001, and the first service for Liberty Church was held just one month later with around 350 people in attendance. In October 2009, Liberty Church finished the expansion of our new facility, which included many additional rooms, a large children’s area, and a new sanctuary with a seating capacity for up to 1,000 people. Currently, Liberty has grown to a church community with more than 1,000 people in attendance, offering three weekend services, Liberty Life (a midweek service with dinner and Bible study), and more importantly room for continued growth and a place where we will continue to love people to Christ.
