Raymond Tate is the lead pastor of Life Chapel in Point Pleasant, N.J. Life Chapel is a multi-ethnic and multi-generational church, located two miles from the Jersey Shore. Ray is a relational pastor who believes that the local church exists to worship God and to lead people in their community into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. He is committed to seeing the mission of the church lived out in the context of small groups. Ray is passionate about investing in the next generation of leaders through mentoring young pastors.
Prior to Life Chapel, Ray began his ministry as a youth pastor at Bethany Church in Wyckoff, N.J. Following that, he served for fifteen years as the founding pastor of Harvest Time Church in Greenwich, Ct. From there, Ray was the lead pastor at Kingsway Church in Cherry Hill, N.J. for ten years. In June of 2009 he became the lead pastor of Life Chapel, where he currently serves.
Ray has been married to his high school sweetheart, Patti, for 39 years. They have three adult children and six grandchildren. He enjoys family, fishing, riding his motorcycle and coffee at the beach with his wife, Patti.
