Who we are
We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible written word of God.
We believe that there is one God eternally existent in three persons, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the Blessed Hope, which is the rapture of the Church of God, which is in Christ, at His return.
We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Jesus Christ.
We believe that regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation.
We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing for the human body in answer to believing prayer.
We believe that the baptism in the Holy Ghost, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it.
We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling, the Christian is enabled to live a Holy and separated life in this present world. Amen.

The Late Honorable Superintendent Edward Calloway, Founder of Lighthouse COGIC
Superintendent Edward Calloway
Born to the parentage of the Late Alvin and Mattie Calloway, God said of our beloved Founder and Pastor, Superintendent Edward Calloway just as it was said of Jeremiah, “Before I ordained thee a prophet to the nations.” And before thou camest forth out the womb I sanctified thee and ordained thee a prophet to the nations”.
His godly mother often said that God had spoken to her and revealed to her that he would greatly anoint and use her son. She constantly prophesied to him concerning Gods plan for his life. Having confidence in the Lord, she patiently waited for His prophetic plan to unfold.
Pastor Calloway began His ministry as an evangelist and preached anywhere and everywhere that God opened a door. He conducted many revivals in the East Texas area. Revivals were conducted in places such as Tyler, Greenville and Sulphur Springs, just to name a few.
He also spent some time traveling and singing in a gospel quartet and got great joy out of witnessing and winning souls for the Lord. In 1951, a word of prophecy came to him from Mother Washington of the Ideal COGIC. She told him that he would pastor a small church congregation in West Dallas, and that the church would be born out of a revival and the fire edifice from the church would be a white building.
Perplexed and dismayed, he began to seek the Lord in an intense time of fasting and prayer. In that God revealed to him that prophecy to him was INDEED true, and that he would advance no further unless he accepted the will of God for his life.
Soon after that, in 1965 Pastor Calloway had driven by a property and it was their God gave him a promise that The Lighthouse congregation would soon occupy it. In 1972, the Lighthouse congregation moved to its present facilities at 2127 South Corinth Street Road in Dallas Texas.
Pastor Calloway Continued to do exploits for God, even though the enemy attempted to hinder him with health problems. Strong and stalwart in spirit, he again persevered. To his credit, he’d been very instrumental in there modeling and refurbishing project of the church building.
He boldly preached and taught the word of God in his unique and powerful way. Under his direction and leadership. The lighthouse church grew to a national scale and prominence and is known throughout the brotherhood of the church of God in Christ.
While ministering under the power and anointing of the Holy Ghost on Sunday, May 28th, 2000, Pastor Calloway was called from labor to reward. Our Founder fought a good fight, finished his course and kept the faith.
