Orofino Community Church Orofino Service Times
Worship Gathering (Sunday Service)
Pre-Gathering – 9:00 am, Sundays
We invite you to join us during the 30 min. prior to our Worship Gathering. We offer the sanctuary as a place to prepare for the Worship Gathering, by spending time in stillness, reflection, prayer, reading and/or many other disciplines. If engaging in conversation over some coffee, tea or hot chocolate is your preferred preparation, we invite you to join us in the Fellowship Hall, at the back of the facility.
Worship Gathering – 9:30 am
We believe this is the time when we gather corporately to continue the worship we have been experiencing individually, and as family units, throughout the week. Our Sunday gathering time (aka worship gathering, Sunday service, worship service) integrates the whole family beginning at 9:30am. We invite all members of the family, newborns up to the chronologically advanced, to remain together in the gathering. In the event that children feel the need to escort their disruptive parent(s) elsewhere, we offer three (3) rooms in the back portion of our facility, which host the gathering via simulcast.
Family Integration
We believe that Scripture teaches a concept quite foreign to our culture: The primary vehicle for discipleship is the family. As a result, our Worship Gathering is a completely family integrated environment. Certainly, we don’t claim in any fashion to have it down, but we believe this is a significant time in the life of those passionately following Jesus Christ to be gathered together, not separate. Believe it or not, we do this by choice. We have supplies in the back of the sanctuary which people of all ages are welcome to utilize during the gathering. During the sermon, we pause for a few moments and strive to directly relate with our children and the sermon topic. If you find yourself feeling a bit uncomfortable because of your child(ren), we remind you that there are three rooms which feature the gathering being simulcast.
