Who we are
Our Lady of Fatima Parish is a small vibrant and dynamic Roman Catholic community that, as a partner in the mission of Jesus Christ, seeks to respond to the deepest yearnings of the human heart. Our parish ministers are in both Spanish and English remembering that all are called to be servants of all for the glory of God.
Our mission: To praise God, proclaim Christ by celebrating the Eucharist and be guided and empowered by the Holy Spirit; strive to meet the spiritual needs of all throughout the Sacraments, Religious Education and Worship.

Our Lady of Fatima Parish History
Fr. Peter McGloin (Founding Pastor of Our Lady of Fatima)
Rev. Peter M. McGloin a retired priest of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Tucson and pastor emeritus of Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Tucson, died Monday, June 15, 2009 at age 79, in Tucson after a long illness. A native of Providence, R.I., Father McGloin was ordained on May 26, 1956, for service in the Diocese of Tucson. During his 53 years of faithful priestly ministry in the Diocese, Father McGloin served as a parish priest, as an educator and as a journalist. He was associate pastor at St. Matthew Parish in Phoenix (1956) and St. Mary Parish in Chandler (1956); teacher, assistant principal (1956-1966) and principal (1966-1968) at Seton High School in Chandler; associate pastor at St. Frances Cabrini Parish in Tucson (1968-1970); diocesan Superintendent of Catholic Schools (1968-1972); editor of the diocesan newspaper (Arizona Register, 1970-1975, and Arizona Catholic Lifetime, 1975-1977); and founding pastor of Our Lady of Fatima Parish from 1972 until his retirement in 2004. "As Catholics worldwide begin a special Year for Priests, Father McGloin's ministry in our Diocese is an inspiring reminder to us of how much priesthood matters. His service demonstrates how the pastoral ministry of a good priest has a positive and powerful impact on the lives of many people," said Most Rev. Gerald F. Kicanas, Bishop of Tucson. A Memorial prayer service will take place at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 21, 2009 at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1950 W. Irvington Place. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 22, 2009 at Our Lady of Fatima Church, with Bishop Kicanas presiding and priests of the Diocese of Tucson as concelebrants. Rev. Msgr. Jeremiah McCarthy, long-time friend of Father McGloin, will preach the homily. Burial will be at Holy Hope Cemetery. Father McGloin is survived by his brother, Robert of Cranston, R.I. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at Our Lady of Fatima Parish. Arrangements by BRING'S MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 236 S. Scott.
