Who we are

Whether you are joining Parkwood at worship or working along side us doing a mission project, you will see a group of warm, welcoming, passionate people who are excited to be a part of Jesus' ministry.

Our worship is inviting and on any given Sunday you will hear our wonderful organ filled with traditional music and guitar that will share contemporary music. You will hear inspiring sermons grounded in God's Word. You will feel the hospitality of a congregation that genuinely loves each other, prays for each other and has fun together.

Our mission programs are broad and active. We have a vibrant homeless and hungry ministry that feeds people under the bridges, in homeless shelters and those struggling to put food on their tables at home. We do Blood Drives, Blanket Drives and support our local food banks. We have had a long partnership with the St. James Church in Malawi and the Calvert Presbyterian Church in Etna.

There is something for everyone at Parkwood. We look forward to you joining us!

Parkwood United Presbyterian Church History

Parkwood United Presbyterian Church traces its origins to 1806 when the Reformed Presbyterian (Covenanter) Church of Pine Creek was organized. The original Covenanter Church built in 1837 still remains as the site of the Depreciation Lands Museum in Hampton Township.

Parkwood was established when, at the suggestion of the Presbytery on April 15, 1962, the Allison Park Community Church and Wildwood Presbyterian Church merged to better serve the community. The present building was dedicated on October 20, 1966.
