Who we are
What We Believe:
Church:
We believe that the church exists because of Jesus Christ and is more than simply a social club or a means of filling up a Sunday. At PoCo Christian Assembly we emphasize a personal, life-giving experience with God. We observe believer's baptism and the Lord's Supper and explain it as a setting to strengthen our faith. Our passion is to proclaim to others the life-giving message of Jesus and help them become Christ-followers. We also practice deeds of mercy and compassion to all, regardless of sex, age, creed, ethnic or religious background. Church at PoCo Assembly is not dead, dry or boring but rather is a time when together we experience our life purpose: to glorify the living God.
Bible:
We teach that the Bible is the perfect treasure of God's instruction for us and, therefore, we endeavour to faithfully preach from the Word of God.
God:
Our view of God is that He is the Creator, Redeemer, Grace-giver and that He alone determines our eternal destiny. The Bible speaks of God as three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, working together as a team to bring about a change of heart.
Jesus Christ:
Scripture states that our problem is that we have missed the mark God set us to aim at in habits, attitude, outlook and motivation. In order for God to renovate the core of a person's being he sent Jesus, His Son, to die on the cross to make amends for our sins and restore our relationship with God. The Bible repeatedly announces that Jesus Christ who died, rose from his death and ascended to heaven, will one day be back. At that time He will finish His work by acting as judge--everything about everyone will be exposed and each person will recieve from God according to what he or she really is. When Jesus comes again history will be completed.
Holy Spirit:
God has given us spiritual gifts to accomplish His wide-reaching task of impacting the world for Jesus Christ. By His Spirit He baptizes us to help us express, celebrate, display and communicate the good news of Jesus.
Worship involves praising God for what he is, thanking him for what He has done, desiring that He gets more glory, trusting Him with our concerns and for the well-being of others. Every week we gather as a community of believers with awestruck wonder and grateful celebration.

Galatians 3:28
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
