Who we are
At the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Green Pastures Leicester, we believe in reaching nations and peoples with the love of Christ. We emphasize the concept of discipleship as a veritable tool to help people develop a deeper fellowship with God.
We are a congregation of people from around the world. Some of the nations that are represented in our church include- Zimbabwe, Ghana, Uganda, Poland, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Cameroon, Nigeria and the United Kingdom among others.
It is our aim to invade strongholds and take territory for Christ by raising a generation of believers who are holy, sensitive in the spirit to the leading of God and having the backing of heaven.
To accompany this, we seek to touch lives and bring in people, in their current state, to the Lord for divine transformation. Whether you are young or old, black or white, rich or poor, male or female, you are welcome to Green Pastures parish! Whoever your are, no matter what your past, you will be welcomed and loved at Green Pastures parish.
Green Pastures parish is one of the over four hundred branches of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in the UK.
The colour green stands for harvest, freshness, progress, pollution free environment and better things, among others. As people come into Green Pastures Parish, they begin to experience all these in their lives. They also access and enjoy being fed with the good pasture- the uninterrupted and undiluted word of God that flows from the throne of grace in heaven.
Vision of RCCG Green Pastures Leicester
At the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Green Pastures, we have the apostolic vision of reaching nations and peoples via the love of Jesus. This is in tandem with the overall vision of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG):
It is our goal to make it to heaven
It is our goal to take as many people as possible with us
In order to accomplish our goals, holiness will be our lifestyle
In order to take as many people with us as possible, we will plant churches within five minutes walking distance in every city and town of developing countries; and within five minutes driving distance in every city and town of developed countries
We will pursue these objectives until every Nation in the World is reached for JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD
