Who we are
We are ordinary people from a variety of backgrounds who have a shared belief and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and a desire to tell others about Him. We meet on Sundays, both morning and evening, for worship services and also on Tuesday evenings for an informal time of Bible study and prayer. Our services are open to everyone who would like to come along.
Currently we are without a Pastor but we enjoy the regular preaching of Josh Bolt who has worked with us for the last five years, initially in an internship capacity but now as a preaching assistant. Josh leads five worship services each month plus one Tuesday night. We are blessed by the ministry of guest lay preachers on the remaining Sunday worship services and Tuesday evenings. The spiritual life of the church is guided by our three Elders – David Piper, David Waters and Rowland Bugden who all occasionally lead a worship service or Tuesday evening.
On the first Sunday each month a Communion service immediately follows the morning worship service. In months where there are five Sundays, on the third Sunday of the month, an additional Communion service is held immediately after the evening worship service. All who have been baptised by immersion are welcome to join with us at these Communion services where we prayerfully remember Christ’s instruction to take the bread and wine as reminder of his blood being shed and his body being broken for us.
With the exception of the of the first Sunday in the month, tea and coffee are served after the morning service – an informal time that gives people an opportunity to get to know each other a little better and to exchange news.
We love to welcome new people to our congregation and have facilities to make life more comfortable for all ages and abilities. We have designated rooms for Sunday School use, modern toilet facilities including baby changing area and a toilet for the disabled. The three main rooms have PA and Loop systems. Designated wheelchair spaces and ramps throughout the building allow full access. Our chapel minibus has a wheelchair tail lift.
Although we are a small church we hold clubs and meetings for children and adults during most weeks of the year – see the Weekly Activities page for full details. We continuously look to the Lord to grow the work.

Rowland is our Pastoral Elder and will always try to be available if anyone needs spiritual help. He became a Christian during his school days, and has studied the Bible ever since. Rowland has been an itinerant preacher for many years. His background is in medical research and education. He and his wife, Jenny, offer informal Bible studies in small groups that can be tailor-made to suit the participants. Email us if you live locally and this is of interest to you.
