What We Believe
Love
We believe that the Cross is the centrepiece of history. Christians have always believed that Jesus’ sacrifice brings us back into relationship with a loving Father in Heaven and with each other. God’s Spirit is working in our world to provide acceptance, forgiveness and healing for everyone. All of us need to hear this good news. We call this God’s love.
Purpose
We believe everyone needs an understanding of what God has created us to be, and what God’s will for our life is. We champion human dignity and celebrate that we are all made in the image of God as our core identity. We need equipping to pursue this with everything we’ve got and we need empowering to change our world for the better. We encourage the pursuit of daily spiritual habits that enhance our well-being and those of others around us. We call this God’s Purpose.
Connection
We believe it’s important to be relevant to all individuals and communities as we face challenging issues in the 21st century. A fulfilled life does not come from sitting in a pew but by finding our purpose in life, by loving and serving each other and making a practical difference in our world. We are called to love our neighbors well in our cultural context. We believe in extending hospitality, welcoming strangers and making friendships that build community. We call this Connection.
