Who we are
Welcome to the friendly family of Redeemer Lutheran. You will experience that friendliness the first time you worship with us every Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m
Congregation established 1930
Church build in 1937, addition in 1992
Offers a place of worship in a Lutheran setting
Sunday School and worship begin at 10:30 with a special children's time at the beginning of the service.
Fellowship Times follow worship on the first, third and fifth Sundays.
Trinity Lutheran, Commanda is a preaching point of the congregation.
Trinity worship services are the second and fourth Sunday of each month at Commanda Community Hall 1 p.m.
Each Tuesday our "Food for Friends" program hands out six bags of food to help our hungry neighbours at 9:30 a.m. on a first come first serve basis.
The congregation began Operation Warmth in 1995 as a free winter coat give-away. Each year over 2000 coats are given away along with a couple of tons of sweaters, blankets, clothing, hats, mitts, gloves and boots. Members of the community donate the materials primarily during the month of October, though donations come in throughout the year. Operation Warmth is open for the month of November, Monday to Saturday 9 to noon, and Monday to Thursday evenings 6:30 to 8 p.m. Anyone who needs some warm clothing or a coat is welcome. (Until COVID restrictions are lifted Operation Warmth is cancelled).
