Leader Bio:
Scott was born in September of 1969 and his family moved to Union City, Tennessee shortly thereafter and remained there for the majority of his childhood. He was saved in October of 1975 at Wynnburg Baptist Church, during a revival meeting.
He grew up attending Second Baptist Church in Union City, Tennessee, took a very active part in the church and was very serious about his Christian life.
He was able to go on two separate mission trips as a youth, one to Arizona and the other to Belize Central America. In 1985 his family moved to Martin, Tennessee where he graduated from Westview High School in 1987.
He served in the Army for four years and in the National Guard for ten years. Scott said this about the time he spent in the Army; "I spent several years living away from home, away from the church, and even away from God.
Although He was always with me, I was not always with Him. God used several circumstances in my life to try and draw me back to Him". He finally heeded His calling in 1994, and began to not only return to God and to church, but to seek after God with all he had. In 1995 he decided that whatever God wanted of him, he would give in obedience. In 1996 while attending his wife's home church he answered God's call into the Gospel Ministry.
Scott attended Martin Methodist College beginning in the fall 1997 and in May of 2001 he received a Bachelor of Arts in Church Vocations emphasizing in Pre-Seminary.
During the summer of 2000 Scott and his wife were privileged to be able to travel to Jerusalem and study the "History of the Holy City" at the Hebrew University for a month.

Reelfoot Baptist Church History
Since it's organization in 1845 the church has been in three location.
The first building was an old log church located on "Ridge Road," and was in existence during the yellow fever epidemic at Hickman.
In 1878, the church relocated to a new building on the bank of Reelfoot Creek about a mile north of Highway 22 at Clayton. This building burned in 1911 and another house of worship was built at the same location.
In 1968, the church relocated in the Clayton Community on Highway 22 because of flooding by Reelfoot Creek. This is the current location of the church today.
In 1980 an educational wing was added.
