Leader Bio:
Pastor David Webb was installed at Resurrection Lutheran on November 10, 2002. Before coming to Ooltewah, Pastor Dave served as a Transition Pastor at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Newport, TN, and a pastor at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Sylva, NC.
Pastor Dave celebrated the 25th anniversary of his ordination on June 11, 2003. He received a Master of Divinity from Lutheran Theology Southern Seminary, where he was a William-Johnson Fellow, and he was ordained on June 11, 1978. Pastor Dave has served as a full-time pastor since his ordination. He has also served as a Chaplain at a hospice and at a nursing home. In addition, he was a campus minister from 1989 through 1998.
Pastor Dave and his wife, Judy, have been married for 25 years and are the parents of three sons and one daughter. Pastor Dave enjoys the outdoors, especially backpacking and canoeing. Early in his career, he worked with the organization, A Christian Ministry in the National Parks, as a Park Minister at Glacier National Park in Montana. Since 1996, he has taken a yearly pilgrimage to Christ in the Desert Monastery in Abiquiu, New Mexico. While there, he learned a practice of centering prayer. He says his annual pilgrimage renews his focus.
