Who we are
St Aidan's Church welcomes Christians and those who seek to connect to Christianity in the Blackburn area.
We aim to make contact with and encourage others to join us in our life-changing Christian journey.
We are a friendly Christian community where we welcome others to join us in our worship and service to God.
Our vision is to make an impact for God, here in Blackburn, Lancashire by helping people understand the enriching messages of eternal hope given to us by Jesus Christ through His words and deeds.

Sunday
Junior Church
Takes place during the Parish Eucharist every Sunday except the second Sunday in the month. We now run two classes to accommodate children from 3-6 yrs and 7-11 yrs. Two CRB approved adults take each class. The class joins the congregation for Holy Communion.

Every first third fourth and fifth Sunday at 11:05 AM for 50 minutes

Sung Eucharist and Junior Church. Refreshments served after the service.
Every first third fourth and fifth Sunday at 11:15 AM for 1 hour and 5 minutes.
Sunday@11.15
Sunday@11:15 is our informal non-eucharistic service which is suitable for everybody. We usually have our Junior Church and GFS in church on this Sunday and try to keep the service to approx 45 mins in total. Come and join us!

From the 8th June 2014, the Sunday@6.30pm Service will be the start of a Short Study/ Discussion Series looking at the topic of Prayer in The Bible.

Baby / toddler and parent group. Refreshments available. Toys, games, chat.
Every Tuesday at 1:30 PM for 1½ hours
Mothers' Union Meetings
Branch Mothers' Union Members meet on the first Tuesday of the month in the church. Speaker most meetings but at least two are informal get-togethers such as a cheese and wine evening, beetle drive etc. Prayer. £1 includes refreshments.
Evening meetings on first Tuesdays at 7.30pm in St Aidan's Church except July and August when there are no meetings. March is a joint meeting at St Francis' (1st Tuesday at 7.45pm) in the Kindergarten. September is a joint meeting at St Aidan's at 7.30pm in the church.
No meetings in July or August.

Girls' Friendly Society
Crafts, music, singing, games, cooking, prayers.
An Anglican organisation for girls 7-18 of any race, any belief or none, to meet and make friends and enjoy activities to suit their age group.

Thursday
Family Praise
An informal worship service suitable for young children and their parents. Music, drama, fellowship. Refreshments after the service.
During term time
Every Thursday at 6:15 PM for ½ hour
Saturday
Saturday Brunch
This is a friendly get-together with coffee, tea, bacon/sausage butties, beans on toast & full English breakfast. Full English breakfast costs £3.50. Other meals are obviously less than this. Raffle. Proceeds for church building fund.
