Who we are
St Andrew'ws is the Anglican parish chuch for Sudbury. We believe and trust in God's grace and mercy and his unconditional love for each of us - however unlovely we may think we are. This si what we try to live out in Sudbury. We are here to care and pray for every person who lives or works in Sudbury of whatever faith or none. We are deligthed to baptise, marry, or take the funerals of local people and we don't ask if you are a regular churh go-er.
Our main Sunday worship is the Parish Eucharist at 10am and thre are children's groups in term time. The church is accessible to wheelchair users and has a loop system.
As for church tradition, the eucharist is central to our worship and we value highly the Word and the sacraments, but we have people from all backgrounds, cultures, ages and traditions - people are more important than tradition!
During the week there are groups and activiites (men's group, bible study, pastoral visiting, home communions, kids club, youth holiday activities...)
Come and join us - you will be very welcome!

St Andrew's Church History
Founded in 1905 (May 10th), the original church building (listed, Grade 2) now serves as the church hall. By 1911. plans were afoot for an new church building to serve the thriving local community.
Put on hold as a result of the First World War, they were finally completed in the form of the present building in which was consecrated by the Bishop of London in 1926. Remarkably the new church and a new vicarage were funded totally by the parish, leaving it free of debt. A particular feature of the church is its leaded glazing with fine stained glass images.
The building gives us generous space for flexible use. We are blessed with a new concert-standard digital organ and the lovely acoustics enable us to hold regular concerts. We enjoy holding winter and summer fairs, children's fun days, meals, art exhibitions, and other events inside the church.
