Who we are
St. Andrew's Memorial Presbyterian Church in Mississauga is a Christian congregation serving the Port Credit-Mississauga South community.
St. Andrew’s Memorial Presbyterian Church is conveniently located in the heart of Port Credit.
We have a weekly service that starts at 10:30 Sunday morning. We have music provided by a pipe organ and choir. Children are invited to the front to hear a brief message from our minister, after which they can participate in our children’s Christian education program.
Our service is traditional, with several short Scripture readings, traditional hymns, prayer, and the minister's sermon. The service generally ends around 11:30 and is followed by fellowship in our auditorium.
Please visit our website at standrewsportcredit.org for a glimpse into some of the ministries and programs St. Andrew’s Memorial Presbyterian Church offers. However, St. Andrew’s is so much more than events or activities. We’re a place to belong. We are a friendly, welcoming community of people and we hope you will join us.
Parking is available in the library parking lot, down the hill on High Street, as well as on Stavebank Road. Everyone is welcome. Come as you are - we'd love to get to know you.

St. Andrew's Memorial Presbyterian Church History
PRESBYTERIAN ROOTS
St. Andrew's is part of the Presbyterian Church in Canada. Our roots stem from the protestant Reformation that began in the 1500’s and the teachings of John Calvin, which were later introduced into Scotland by John Knox. Knox established what came to be known as the Presbyterian Church. The name, "Presbyterian", refers to a form of ecclesiastical government by presbyters (elders).
CHURCH HISTORY
St. Andrew's Memorial Presbyterian Church traces its establishment in Port Credit back to 1892, when it was known as The Port Credit Presbyterian Church. It was not until 1918 that the name of St. Andrew’s was adopted. In 1927 the building of the "Memorial" Church was approved and construction began on the present site on Stavebank Road and was dedicated and opened in the following year. In 1956 a Christian education wing and a church hall was completed. The existing church, with the completed extension, constitutes the facility that continues in use to this day.
