Who we are
The Anglican Parish of South Dundas is a diverse community that is committed to "Exploring Faith and Serving the World God Loves".
We live out this commitment by offering diverse styles of worship (traditional to contemporary), Christian Education programs that enable us to "go deep" with the questions we have, and by serving our wider community through the Apple Tree Ministry, Martha's Kitchen, the annual Christmas Dinner, the Madagascar School Project, and the Tilted Steeple Coffee House.
Each of our locations offers different ministries to the community around it.
St. James
20 High Street, Morrisburg
Founded in 1857, St. James is the central point of our parish ministry. It is home to the Tilted Steeple Coffee House, Martha's Kitchen, the Apple Tree ministry, and offers the latest in Christian Education programs.
The worship at St. James is a combination of traditional Anglican liturgy and contemporary worship. While the building is often referred to as a "mini cathedral", the congregation has deep roots in the evangelical protestant tradition. It has been a major supporter of the Cursillo movement and so the congregation found a way to combine the best of both traditions.
Holy Trinity (Chapel)
13105 Riverside Drive, Riverside Heights
Founded in 1835 (moved in 1957), this building has a fascinating history of being moved, stone by stone, to its current location in order to survive the flooding of the Seaway. Holy Trinity houses a deeply committed and faithful community who gather twice a month for gentle worship that really does emit a sense of intimacy and contemplation.

Dress code:
Jesus teaches us to not judge one another based on superficial things, such as clothing. Very simply, you can come as you feel most comfortable. This can be anthing from a three piece suit, to a hoodie and cargo shorts. There will be others dressed in a similar fashion. If it's winter time, bring a coat. Buildings get chilly.

Local outreach & community activities:
The Anglican Parish of South Dundas has a long history of "Serving the World God Loves". As Jesus taught that the love of our neighbour is just as important as our love of God and self, our parish is deeply committed to serving the vulnerable in our midst. While it is a foundational part of the Christian faith, it is also simply living out our desire to be "good neighbours".
Martha's Kitchen
In the early 1990s Martha's Kitchen began as a small group of single mothers who were looking to learn how to prepare healthy meals on a limited income. That small ministry has grown into a weekly gathering of as many as 40-60 people who are lonely, isolated, struggling, or simply looking for good food and fellowship.
Martha's Kitchen is held (Sept - May): 3rd Sunday of the month.
Location: St. James
Tilted Steeple Coffee House
The Tilted Steeple is a new "community partnership" ministry. St. James has happily agreed to work with the folks from The Front Door House Concerts as, together, we put on a monthly evening of music, food, and the chance to gather with the wider community. Almost all proceeds go towards supporting Syrian Refugees.
Apple Tree Ministry
The Apple Tree Ministry also began in the early 1990s as an "umbrella" for all of the parish outreach. Currently it provides assistance for those who are struggling with food, clothing, transportation, or financial needs. From gas cards to "anonymous envelopes" this ministry makes sure that people in need can receive a helping hand.
It is also the "host" of the annual Christmas Dinner held at the Morrisburg Legion.
