St James the Great in Manston, West Yorkshire is a Christian congregation serving the Manston community and seeking, engaging, and encouraging others through a life-changing Christian journey.
We seek to be a loving, friendly community that worships God, and serves others. We place a high priority on teaching from the Bible and following the example of Jesus.

St James, the Great Primary School , children, staff, parents and friends enjoy an act of Collective Worship each Thursday morning in Church during term-time.
NB This is a term-time only event every Thursday at 9:00 AM for ½ hour
All Age Worship
Family friendly service, on first Sunday of the month, with modern worship songs, prayers and short talk / presentation.
We especialy invite those preparing to bring their children to baptism to join us at this service, and many then want to keep coming too!
Every first Sunday at 11:30 AM for ¾ hour

Every Sunday at 8:00 AM for 40 minutes
Parish Eucharist
Sung Eucharist in modern catholic style with choir, hymns, sermon and Junior Church (for those aged 3 to 11)
Every first third fourth and fifth Sunday at 9:30 AM for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
Parish Eucharist with PARADE
our 9.30am Parsh Eucharist is on this Sunday also a Parade Servcie with all our Brownies, BEavers, Cubs, Guides and Scouts attending, and the worship content and music is geared towards famiies, children and young people.
NB there is no PARADE Service in August. Instead we have a more traditional Parish Eucharist,as on other Sundays of the month.

NB These services are usually held each month, and up to 4 baptism s can be booked on each occasion

Evensong
A service of Evening Prayer. there is no choir but an organist and the service is traditionally sung - with hymns, canticles and sung responses., and a short sermon or reflection on the readings set for that day.
Every Sunday at 6:00 PM for ¾ hour

Quiet Eucharist in the morning
Every Wednesday at 9:15 AM for 25 minutes
'Teddy Praise'
Alternate Wednesdays (2nd and 4th) a time for pre school children and their carers. parents etc when we share together a Bible story, a couple of short songs, an activity, and some refreshment and toys for afterwards, as well as some fun! Babies and ittle ones ae free to join in, wander around or sleep!
NB This service / activity takes a break during August
