Who we are
Worship is our response to a God who loves us and desires to communicate with us.
At St. John's we have one service of worship each Sunday at 10 a.m. from the Book of Alternative Services. The service is centred around the Eucharist, that is, the breaking of bread and sharing of the cup. This is our fullest expression of prayer that we have here on earth and it serves to unite us with God and with one another.
The service is a blend of traditional and contemporary, with many of our hymns being written very recently, reflecting a spirituality that is consistent with the needs of the 21st century. We also have an active Sunday School at this service where children are most welcome.
If you are new to the Anglican Church, or even to the Christian faith, do not be afraid to join us for worship. Many have come to us from a variety of traditions and faith communities. The most important thing to remember is that you are welcome and will be accepted the way you are!
