Who we are
We are an historic parish located just north of downtown London, Ontario. Our church has been growing at the corner of St. James and Wellington streets since 1888 following 2000 years of Christian service and spiritual nurture. Our diverse congregation gathers on Sundays and other special occasions to sing, to focus, and to support one another so that we can continue the everyday work of shining light into our world through acts of compassion. We have many volunteer and community groups throughout the week with a place for everyone from children to retirees! Please feel free to join us and ask any questions as you search for a congregation with whom to nurture your spirit and make a difference in the world.

St. John the Evangelist History
St. John’s was founded in 1864 making us one of the oldest parishes in London. We have been worshiping in our current building since 1888 and there are a number of beautiful and unique architectural and decorative features. We continue to add new stories to our history each year and everyone is welcome to join us in making new memories.
