Sunday
Holy Communion
A traditional service of Holy Communion with hymns, three bible readings and a serMonday Coffee is served afterwards.
Every third Sunday at for 1 hour
Said Communion
A quiet service of said communion with a short sermon and without music. The liturgy is taken from Common Worship.
Every first and second Sunday at 9:00 AM for 35 minutes
Family Service
Family service is just that - a service suitable for young families. We meet in St John's school hall to worship in an informal style. The services each follow a theme and include drama, puppets, quizzes and action songs. There is a time during the service when the children go out for their own craft activity and the adults can listen to a short talk and take part in a quiet prayer activity. Afterwards we gather together over coffee and cake.
Every first Sunday at 10:30 AM for ¾ hour
Morning Worship
A more informal service for all ages using powerpoint, drama and a range of music. There is a talk and the congregation are encouraged to stay for coffee afterwards.
Every second Sunday at 10:30 AM for 1 hour
Evensong
Traditional Evensong from the Book of Common Prayer. On the first, second and fourth Sunday there is also a sermon but not on the third or fifth sundays.
Every Sunday at 6:30 PM for ¾ hour
Saturday
Messy Church
Messy church meets in St John's school and is a fun and creative way to explore the Bible and find out more about God and Jesus. There are lots of craft activities to choose from, based around a Biblical theme.
There is a short service where a Bible story is read /talked about and we sing songs.
