Who we are
Welcome to St. Joseph's Catholic Church! Founded in 1968, Saint Joseph's is a multi-cultural parish that is experiencing continued growth. As servants of Jesus Christ, we are focused and committed to building a prayerful, loving, and caring Catholic community, dedicated to reaching out to all, through evangelization and mission. With God’s grace, we will work to fulfill this mission through the collaboration of all parish members. We do this as members of the Universal Church, the Catholic Diocese of Raleigh and in union with the Holy Father, our Bishop, and our Pastor. The congregation warmly welcomes visitors, those who would choose to register here, and all who would like to inquire about the Catholic Church and its Sacraments.
St. Joseph Catholic Church has the distinct honor of being the Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa. The focal point of the shrine is an authentic Icon of the Madonna, which was brought to our parish from Poland by members of the Polish community. The Icon was enshrined and consecrated by the Most Reverend F. Joseph Gossman, Bishop of Raleigh, on the feast of the Immaculate Conception, December 8, 1987. Three years later, on December 12, 1990, the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the icon was blessed by our Holy Father, Pope John Paul II at the Vatican during a private audience.
The faithful gather from the Raleigh area as well as from parishes throughout the diocese to honor Our Blessed Lady and invoke her maternal protection at our weekly novena.
The devotions in honor of Our Lady of Czestochowa are held for all members of the faithful in English. Please join us in honoring the Mother of God and invoking her protection over your family. All are welcome.
Our pastor is Monsignor Jeffrey Ingham, and our priest-in-residence is Father Lourduraj Alapaty. The Rev. Mr. Stephen Lewandowski is our deacon.

Youth Ministry
The Youth Ministry at St. Joseph’s, for Grades 9-12, focuses on empowering young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today, to draw youth to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic faith community and to foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person.
The youth in our church are encouraged to attend meetings that are held twice monthly in the school year. During that time they will be in a prayerful atmosphere where they will learn how God’s Word and the teachings of the Catholic Church are to be incorporated into their everyday lives.
Adult leaders are needed as catechists, mentors, and ministers of hospitality.
For information on current events, see the Sunday bulletin.
