St Mary welcomes Christians and those who seek to connect to Christianity in the Heworth area.

We aim to make contact with and encourage others to join us in our life-changing Christian journey.

We are a friendly Christian community where we welcome others to join us in our worship and service to God.

Our vision is to make an impact for God, here in Heworth, Tyne and Wear by helping people understand the enriching messages of eternal hope given to us by Jesus Christ through His words and deeds.

Simple reflective communion service according to Common Worship order one. With sermon.
Every Sunday at 8:00 AM for 40 minutes
Parish Communion
Main Sunday service, with robed choir and sermon.
Every Sunday at 10:00 AM for 1 hour
Evening Prayer
Evening prayer according to the BCP, from Common Worship. With sermon.

Holy Communion

Prayer Group
Prayer Group meets in church in the Lady (Chapel). The first Wednesday of the month (unless otherwise stated) at 2:00pm, lasting 30 minutes
Every first Wednesday at 2:00 PM for ½ hour
Choir Practice
Practice for services and special events. New members are always welcome.If you are interested please come and join us.
Every Wednesday at 6:30 PM for 1 hour
Thursday
Healing Service
A Eucharist for Healing takes place in the Lady (Chapel) on the first Thursday of each month, unless otherwise stated at 7.30pm. (for approx. one hour) There is prayer for the healing of the nations, for the parish and for individuals. You are able to receive the laying on of hands and anointing, if you wish. For yourself or on behalf of someone.

Come along and enjoy a chat with a cup of coffee or tea and home baking
