St Nicolas in Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex is a Christian congregation serving the Shoreham-by-Sea community and seeking, engaging, and encouraging others through a life-changing Christian journey.

Saturday 2nd July 2016 at 11:00 AM for 4 hours
Ride & Stride/Heritage Open Day
The Ride and Stride event, where cyclists are sponsored to visit as many churches as possible, will be combined with a Heritage Open Day. Guided tours of the church will be offered, and there will be a rolling slideshow. Refreshments will be available. The event is free but donations to St Nicolas' Fabric Fund would be appreciated.

A Princess in Shoreham
Advance Notice
September 2016 will be the 95th anniversary of the death of Lydia Yavorska, Princess Bariatinsky, who rests in St Nicolas' churchyard. To mark the anniversary there will be a special evensong on Sunday 4th September and following the English Heritage Open Day on 10th September there will be a presentation in the church about her dramatic life, coupled with the launch of a new book "Princess of Dreams".
Proceeds from the book will be used to maintain the grave and to support the Friends of St Nicolas who look after our beautiful ancient church. For more details about the book see the weblink.
Further details of these events will follow nearer to the date.
