Who we are
We would love to have you join our parish family!
If you've been looking for a spiritual home, a place where you can grow in your relationship with the Lord, where you can be encouraged and supported by others, where you can find the richness of our Catholic faith alive in the Sacraments, then we hope you will join our parish family.
You are always welcome to join us for our times of prayer, for any of our programs and ministries. This is probably the best way to get to know us and meet our parish family.
How to join our family...
If you've visited with us already and would like to formally join our parish family, you will find the Parish Registration form link at the bottom of the page. Please print out the form (pdf format), fill it out and return it to us. You can place it in the collection basket, mail it or even fax it (Fax: 601.376.0094). You can also call the Parish Office at 601.372.4481 and we would be happy to get things going in person.
If you aren't a member of the Catholic faith, we invite you to visit our services and get to know us. If you want to explore the Catholic faith more thoroughly, the program, Right of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is an option. RCIA meets weekly August through Easter and is the most common way adults join the Catholic church. For more information, contact the parish office.
Thank you for taking the time to visit us! We hope you'll become part of our parish family.

St. Therese Catholic Church History
Father Michael Campbell was born April 7, 1918 in Ballug, Carlingford, County Louth, Ireland. He was the sixth of nine children born to Mr. and Michael H. Campbell, both of whom where National School teachers. After attending his mother's school at Rathcor and his father's school at Grange, he went to St. Patrick's College in Armaugh. After five years he entered St. Patrick's College, Carlow to study for the priesthood. On June 6, 1943 he was ordained to the priesthood in Monaghan Cathedral by the Most Reverend Eugene O'Callahan (7 January 1888 – died 21 May 1973), Bishop of Clogher.
Difficult transportation during the war years delayed his arrival Natchez until March 24, 1944. He was appointed assistant at St. Paul's Church in Vicksburg upon his arrival and remained there until November 1949. He was then transferred to st. Mary's at Jackson to be assistant to the pastor. He remained there until 1951 when he was appointed as pastor at St. John's in Oxford, Mississippi.
In January 1954 Father was appointed pastor of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Brookhaven where he remained until September 1955 when he was appointed pastor of St. Therese in Jackson.
Bishop Howze reflecting on his appointment in 1977 as Bishop in the newly established Biloxi Diocese mentions the priests who were so helpful to him, including Msgr. Campbell.
