Who we are

History of The Church of St. Timothy

"The Church of St. Timothy was a vision before it was an actuality; a dream which God put in the minds of men. (The Reverend Canon Henry Marsh, 1955)"

In the words of our Archivists, the history of The Church of St. Timothy would not be complete without an understanding of the human story, particularly the courage, sacrifices and dedication of Henry Marsh and the parishioners to raise funds in the depths of the depression, when many were losing their jobs and homes. Many decades later we are now the beneficiaries of their faith and leadership.

St. Timothy's Church Toronto Service Times

Sunday Services

Sunday 8:00 am

Sunday 10:00 am

The 8:00am service is a quiet reflective service in the traditional Elizabethan English of the Book of Common Prayer. The congregation is usually around 25 people.

The 10:00am service is our main worship service, incorporating elements of both traditional and contemporary music and liturgy. The services are from the Book of Alternative Services (1985). The whole church community gathers together for the entrance rite and after the children’s talk, the children (age 3 years to high school) go to church school, returning for communion bread and wine. Baptized Christians of all denominations and age are invited to share with us at the Lord’s table. Those not receiving bread and wine are invited to share with us by receiving a blessing.

Weekday Service

Wednesday morning at 10:30: the Eucharist is celebrated in the Parlour/Marsh Room.
