St. Vincent De Paul Parish welcomes Christians and those who seek to connect to Christianity in the Toronto area.

We aim to make contact with and encourage others to join us in our life-changing Christian journey.

We are a friendly Christian community where we welcome others to join us in our worship and service to God.

Our vision is to make an impact for God, here in Toronto, Ontario by helping people understand the enriching messages of eternal hope given to us by Jesus Christ through His words and deeds.

From the Bloor Danforth Subway Line:

Get off at Dundas West station.
Take the ‘504 King’ street car from within the station. (No transfer necessary.)
Get off at High Park Blvd. Cross the street and walk a block north to the church.

From the Yonge-University Line:

You will need a transfer.
Get off either at King (on the Yonge line) or St Andrew’s (on the University line). (You are almost guaranteed to get a seat if you get off at King, but it may be faster to get off at St Andrew’s.)
Take the 504 street car westbound. Make sure to get onto the ‘504 Dundas West Station’ car. The ‘504 Roncesvalles’ car stops about a kilometer south of the church.
On Sundays, the street car stops directly in front of the church. At other times, get off at Fermanagh (which is the first set of lights north of Queen) and walk a block north to the church.

Holy Week Schedule – 2016 A.D.

Palm Sunday (March 19 / 20)
Masses: Saturday 5:00 p.m.
Sunday 8:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m. (Usus Antiquior), 11:30 a.m. (Sung English)
Confessions for 15 minutes before all Masses and from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Blessed Palms will be available at all Masses. Procession at the 11:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday.

Monday, March 21 to Wednesday, March 23
Masses (as usual) at 8:00 a.m. (Confessions for 15 minutes before every Mass.)

Wednesday, April 1, at 8:00 p.m. in Holy Family Church.
Tenebrae for Holy Thursday.

Holy Thursday (March 24)
There are no Masses during the day. The church will open at 9:00 a.m.
Confessions: 7:00 - 7:45 p.m., and after the Mass of the Lord’s Supper until midnight.
Mass of the Lord’s Supper: 8:00 p.m. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament until midnight.

Good Friday (March 25)
(This is a day of fast and abstinence.)
The church will open at 9:00 a.m.
Confessions: 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. and from 7:45 p.m. through the Stations of the Cross.
Liturgy of the Passion: 3:00 p.m.
Stations of the Cross at 8:00 p.m. followed by veneration of a relic of the True Cross.

Holy Saturday (March 26)
There is no morning or afternoon Mass today, but the church will open at 9:00 a.m.
Confessions: 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 - 8:45 p.m.

Easter Vigil: 9:00 p.m. (This Mass fulfills the Sunday obligation.)
Easter Sunday (March 27)
Masses: 8:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m. (Usus Antiquior), 11:30 a.m. (Sung English)
Confessions for 15 minutes before all Masses.

Easter Monday (March 28)
Mass today will be at 10:00 a.m. (Confessions for 15 minutes before the Mass.)
The regular weekday schedule of Masses and Confessions resumes on Tuesday, March 29. The whole week, from Easter Sunday until Sunday, April 3 (inclusive) is known as the Easter Octave. Each day is a solemnity, so Easter Friday is not a day of penance or abstinence from meat.

Sunday 8:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m. (Usus Antiquior - Low Mass), 11:30 a.m. (Sung English)

Usus Antiquior indicates that the Mass is celebrated according to the more ancient usage, that is to say, in accordance with the 1962 Missal.

Weekday Masses

Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m.
Saturday 10:00 a.m.

(On public holidays such as Canada Day, Labour Day, Thanksgiving, etc., and on Easter Monday, the weekday Mass is at 10:00 a.m.)

CONFESSIONS ARE HEARD FOR AT LEAST FIFTEEN MINUTES BEFORE ALL MASSES AND FROM 4:00 TO 5:00 P.M. ON SATURDAYS
