Who we are
Our Mission
Connect people to God while we worship, grow, serve and do life together.
Formally known as First Wesleyan Church, The Bridge Church has been part of the Charles City Community for quite some time. We long to change and grow in order to do our part as a church to impact Charles City and the surrounding area in light of God’s inerrant Word. We believe that God has big changes in store for us in Charles City. We've got to be more relevant in our methods as we convey a message that has been relevant to our lives for thousands of years!
We read in the Bible that when are reconciled to Christ, we become a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). And we believe that God is doing something new in us as a church. God told Isaiah, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!” We believe He is doing the same in us and it is time to move toward the exciting new thing God has planned. In light of this, we are doing our best to perceive the new and embrace the change that is ahead so that we can, “become all things, to all men so that by all possible means [we] might save some” (1 Corinthians 9:22).

The Workshop
Our children's programs for grades K-5th have taken a step up as we have launched into a great new curriculum through a program called ThinkOrange. Our goal at The Bridge is to not to entertain kids, but to challenge them as we affirm that they are created in God's image. ThinkOrange helps us create a children's experience on Wednesday nights that is fun, interactive, and completely Bible based throughout. Come check it out! For more info go to www.whatisorange.org

Youth group
We'd like to invite all teens to join us on Wednesday nights for games, a Bible message and junior high/high school small groups. We believe that challenging our teens grow into mature believers is important and a great way to get them integrated into the church. Because if they own their faith, they will own their church.
