The Salvation Army Cambridge Citadel History
Founded in 1865 by William and Catherine Booth in London, England, The Salvation Army began its work in Canada in 1882. The old Galt Citadel on Ainslie Street opened in 1884, led by Captain Fred Gellatly and his campaign ‘Galt for Jesus’. Now located on Shade Street, the present Corps Officers at Cambridge Citadel are Captains Nicholas and Heather Samuel.

perish but have eternal life.' (John 3:16, NIV)
