Who we are
Trinity has grown from small beginnings in the late 1960s when it was formed with just 12 members to the present average congregation of 70-80 people of all ages and backgrounds. We meet in a distinctive Church building on the Ashford Road just out of Tenterden.
Trinity serves the historic country town of Tenterden in the heart of the Weald of Kent and the congregation reflects the make-up of the town itself – a bustling centre for the surrounding rural villages complementing a thriving residential core. Some families travel in from the nearby expanding town of Ashford (12 miles away), Rye, Cranbrook, Rolvenden, Headcorn and Woodchurch. Most people work in local businesses and services, although some commute into London.

Trinity Baptist Church Tenterden Service Times
Morning Services
Our morning service is suitable for newcomers and families. There will be some singing, praying and an opportunity to hear a talk about part of the Bible, which we hope will help you as you think about what God is like and how he wants us to live. You can listen to previous talks on line by visiting our sermons page. The service is usually finished by 11.30am and you are welcome to join us for coffee , in order to get to know the church family at Trinity and ask any questions you may have.
What about children?
The children spend the first few minutes with everyone in the church and then leave with their leaders for activities appropriate for their age group, either in the well supervised crèche for the very young, or in ‘Energize’ a club for 6-11 years - please ask for more information if you think your children would enjoy ‘Energize’.
Evening services
Our evening services follow a similar pattern but offer an opportunity to think in more detail about what it means to be a Christian and to praise God together. There is no evening service on the second Sunday of each month.
