Who we are
What We Believe
We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God (John 20:30, 31), and that the Bible is God-breathed (2 Timothy 3:16, 17).
We believe the New Testament teaches that sinners are saved by faith in Jesus Christ, repentance, and baptism (Romans 6:1-11; Acts 2:38; Mark 16:16).
We emphasize sincere worship (John 4:24), every-member evangelism (Acts 8:4), godly living (Titus 2:11, 12), love for each other (John 13:34, 35), and helping those in need (James 1:27).
We believe that it is possible to have religious unity in a day of division by following the New Testament pattern and laying aside human traditions.
What To Expect
Where We Assemble
We worship in the room referred to as the auditorium. There are no reserved seats so sit anywhere. There is also a balcony available.
Singing
We love to sing! We sing songs of glory and honor to God and His Son Jesus Christ, and songs of encouragement to each other. We use a projection screen to display all the words, and have songbooks in the racks where you sit if you'd like to see the music. You are welcome to join in or just sit back and listen.
Praying
We believe in the power of prayer, and we often pray for specific needs and requests. We will have several public prayers during our service lead by men up front. Again, you will not be required or asked to do anything.
Preaching
Our preacher, David Yasko, will teach a Bible-centered lesson (about 20 to 25 minutes) that is relevant and encourages us to live a Christ centered life.
Invitation to Respond
At the close of the lesson an invitation to publicly respond is offered. Those responding go to the front of the auditorium while the congregation is singing. One of our Elders (or Shepherds) will be there to assist in any way that he can. Responses may include someone wanting to be baptized, someone asking for prayers, or someone wanting to join this church family.
Lord's Supper (Communion)
We observe this memorial every Sunday. This Supper is a way of remembering the sacrifice Jesus has made on our behalf. During this, plates containing pieces of unleavened bread (they look like crackers) will be passed throughout the congregation. The bread symbolizes the body of Jesus. Each participant will break off a piece of the bread and eat it and spend a moment remembering Jesus in any way they choose. Some open the Bible or some silently pray. They will also pass trays filled with small cups. The cups will contain grape juice, symbolizing the blood of Jesus, and participants spend another moment remembering that our sins have been forgiven. Once again, with the exception of passing the tray as it comes down your row of people, you are not required to participate. And if you don't, no need to be embarrassed. And feel equally as free to join in.
Offering
As our guest you are not expected to make a donation. Please feel comfortable to pass the collection tray down the row to members of this congregation.
Nursery
We value your children very much at Westbury. For parents of children birth to 2 years old, we have attended nursery for the entire service.
Bible Class
We have classes for every age group. Our class time starts after the worship service, approximately 10:30 and ends at 11:30.
Sunday Evening
We have a worship service at 5:00 p.m. which meets in the auditorium. Everyone is welcome, and again, feel free to sit anywhere. This service involves all of the same things we do on Sunday morning. There are classes for the children: the nursery for birth-2 years old, Creation Station for 3 years old – Kindergarten, Compass for 1st – 5th grades, and a youth class. We also have a series class for parents called Home Improvement.
Wednesday Evening
We offer a variety of Bible classes for all ages. They begin at 7:00 and end at 8:00.

Quote of the Day
Hebrews 10:25
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
