Worden Christian Church History
Our little church had it's beginning on May 1st 1892, Brother Jethro Sharp and the Alfred Ricks family gathered together a group of Christians in a effort to plan a Christian Church in Worden. Services in our current building started on December 2, 1956 despite the fact construction on the building was still in process. Eventually Worden Christian Church realized the need to create a more loving accessible Christian Community, on February 6 2002 a building committee was organized after a year of praying for the project. The building was completed after in 2003 and has served as a huge blessing for our church. On May 16th 2010 the church board suggested work begin on a new parsonage, it was unanimously agreed that a new parsonage be constructed, rather than purchacing a Modular Home. The contract was signed on July 28th 2010, and work was complete prior to the Thanksgiving Holiday.
