Welcome to Bethel Tabernacle COGIC, a family in the heart of the city with the city in our hearts.
The Lord gave us an outstanding pastor, Dr. David D. Bent, one with a dream, vision, wisdom, love and passion for the ministries. In 1983, we started with prayer meetings each Sunday evening in the homes of Deacon & Mo. Williams and Pastor & Mo. Bent.
It's all about Jesus and His bountiful harvest! We give thanks and honor to God, who has done great things for us here at Bethel Tabernacle Worship Center. Our hearts are filled with joy, and it is a great blessing and opportunity to serve God. Many have gone from Bethel Tabernacle Worship Center into the vineyard, making disciples, preaching and teaching. Bethel has been a training ground for many that have been called by God. We thank God for all the precious souls that have been transformed and are praying for a bountiful harvest of heirs to His kingdom.

Bethel Tabernacle COGIC History
Through dedication, sacrifice and blessings of God, the church mortgage was paid in full December 2002. A mortgage burning service was held March 2, 2003. In spring 2006, additional improvements were completed for future growth and intention of not just being a church in the community but to be a community church where we can be a training ground everyday of the week for all those who desire to be saved. Church re-dedication service was July 16, 2006.

Lord, for tomorrow and its needs, I do not pray; Keep me, my God, from stain of sin just for today. Let me both diligently work, And duly pray. Let me be kind in word and deed, Just for today. Let me be slow to do my will, Prompt to obey; Help me to sacrifice myself Just for today. And if today my tide of life should ebb away, Give me thy sacraments divine, Sweet Lord today. So for tomorrow and its needs I do not pray, But keep me, guide me, love me, Lord, Just for today.
